right my guitar n amp have a really rough sound (i do like it though im looking for cheap options 2 make it make differant sounds), is there some sort of device which would smooth the sound off for cheaper than buying a new amp £10-£20 im not interested in super high quality equipment yet because im not good enough.

Any kind of device that has a tube like processor... Tube amps are known for their warmth. Maybe check out a TubeScreamer overdrive pedal by Ibanez. its adds nice warmth.

Try to describe exactly what makes your sound "rough." Is it clean, distorted, both?

the rough sound is when i have overdrive turned on, it sound kinda like its really low frequency ,i dont meen a deep bass sound, im mean it is reapeting at a slow rate something like this i think -_-_-_-_-_-_ (very fast)rather than one smoothe tone ------------- if u get what i meen
if ya listen to the start of my chemical romances - its not a fashion statement its a death wish, it sounds exactly like that
