Ok Boulevard of broken dreams by Green day is an easy enough to song to play.
But how did they get the sound of the solo in the middle of song.
I'm ok playing it I just re can't recreate the sound.
It sounds like there's distortion and delay there.
Any ideas would be ap  preciated.

Just listened to it, you need a delay/echo pedal (and use distortion of course) and that's pretty much it i guess. there's a wah in the outro btw.

sounds like the solo was dubbed over a couple times and run through a delay and the multiple dubs were panned out to create a fuller sound.

billie joe is starting to be infamous for doubling parts....if i'm not mistaken there were like...9 guitars on brain stew.

you won't get an exact sound is the bottom line...but to get close, you'll need a delay/echo pedal and also have some reverb in the sound.
okay...my post is done...goodbye.
