If memory serves;
A Squier Strat loaded with Evans active pickups (I suspect he used a fairly robust string , and a large Triangle pick)
DOD pedals ( given the era, probably one of their OD's or mabey a higher gain Dist)
Not sure which Wah he used.
Marshall JCM 800 (I believe)
He also had that gnarly Jackson 12/6 Doubleneck that he used in the "Angel Eyes" video.
I had no idea how much Jeff Healey influnced me untill recently. I heard one of his older tunes on the Radio and it dawned on me that that's the sound I go for...tone, bends, phrasing,ect. He played/plays with a really cool "visous-ness) that had more influence on me that I was aware!!!
He's doing his Jazz stuff nowadays, playing Coronet/Trumpet in and around Toronto. I'm not sure if his CBC Radio Jazz show is still going either.
He made the cover of Guitar Player back in the late 80's/early 90's, I'll look through the boxes today and see iffin I can track it down for a better answer to the gear question.

wow, thanks for your detailed reply. :)

i totally know what you mean about his "viscious" style, his overall tone and approach to the guitar is incredible. I read on his website about the jazz he is now performing, the guy is an outrageous musician. i'd really like to see him live, i dont think that will ever happen tho :(

have you ever seen him live?
