[font=trebuchet ms]I use a DiMarzio Tone Zone (DP156) at the bridge, and a PAF Pro (DP151) at the neck of one of my Yamaha SBG1000 guitars. It's a double-cutaway Les Paul style, like the old Ibanez Artist series. These are very versatile pickups, with a modern bite to them. They would work very well for heavy rock and metal.
