Hi all.

Here we go again.

I have scaled up an SG photo to the correct dimensions....but I don't have the depth ie thickness.

Would some obliging SG owner post the trhickness please?

I'm guessing about 1 1/2 inches.

I will use a Warmoth neck LP 24 3/4 conversion and want to make the body out of Tasmanian myrtle wood which has been getting much praise from local (ie Australian) builders...and it's not expensive..$us 30.00 for enough for 1 blank.

I might try a sort of photo blog so you experts can guide me. :D

I'll measure the thickness of my SG tonight and let you know tomorrow. Hopefully I won't forget to measure it. I'm thinking it's more like 1 1/4" thick....I'll let you know.

Hey Rob, I've got an AutoCAD drawing of an SG if you have a program that can read a .dwg or a .dxf. The units are in millimeters, but it works out to be around 1-13/16" thick.
