The ZW pedal rocks, but if you already have a distorted signal and want to boost, adding a ZW might not be the best thing, especially if you have a solid state amp. Tube amps love that stuff. I have a Rocktron Austin Gold, that is an overdrive pedal, it gives me a little more distortion, but up to 30 db in boost. Also it has a nice bass control on there so you dont get thin and wimpy sounding. If you wanted just a stand along, the ZW will treat ya right.
