I don't understand how that follows any sort of logical reasoning whatsoever. Is it because they're both metal? But the two bands aren't even the same ERA of heavy metal, so that can't be it. Is it because they take the same approach to writing music? No, that can't be it either, Maiden's is usually a more theory based music. Perhaps it's in their melodic choices? No, any patterns Ozzy has in his melodies are certainly not present in Iron Maiden, and vice versa. Oh, I understand! It must be in their radio play! No, wait, Iron Maiden gets almost NO air time whatsoever with the exception of listener requests and obscure stations that no one but elitists listen to.

Iron Maiden-> Elitist band

Ozzy Osbourne-> Corporate radio band

I have no problem with bands being played on corporate radio, but for Ozzy to achieve his god-like status in the metal community over Steve Harris is complete idiocy. Also, for a band to be overrated, they have to be overrated, and since Iron Maiden doesn't even get radio play I think it's hard for them to be such.
