Wireless Guitar Systems

So I'd like to get one of those wireless systems. I used seinheisser systems which work very well, but they are very expensive ( $600+ ). Anything out there that is very good for around $400?

I've had an Azden wireless for probably 7 or 8 years now and so far it's served me perfectly.

How many (if you go through any) effects do you go through? What is the range approx?

Wireless units are cool as hell, but I've never cared for them...I've borrowed a few in my time from friends that have 'em, and they seem to color the tone too much, seems to loose tone....but that might be b/c they were cheaper wireless units.

I've used a bunch and I really like 'em. I use a bunch of effects though and I don't want to spend $600 on one like I was using. The most I would go would be $400. I don't want a cheap one ( in case of poor quality ) but I need something super reliable.

They all will alter your tone; cheap ones more so (and more negatively) than the expensive ones, but a change in your tone comes with the turf.


I've found that the best thing to do if you're going to be using a wireless is to do what you can to work with the alteration in your tone rather than just going "ugh!" and scurrying back to your cables.
