organized crime. :D Honestly dude...I don't know many places that would hire a 14 year old. It's the sad truth. I wanted to work at 14 and no one would hire me. Wait until you're older. Save up your birthday money or whatever. It takes a while but you can still get what you want. If you save up half the money for...say a new guitar and go to ur parents and tell them that u've earned half they might even be so kind enough as to loan you the rest of the money for new gear. I dont know what u want money for...I assume its new gear.

I opened the thread again cause yah didn't give it enough time for people to answer.
At 14 years old your options are pretty limited.
You're basically stuck with the old standby stuff like paper route (also known as slave labour), babysitting, lemonade stand... etc ...

One thing you can try is eBay. If you can find stuff worth selling you can make a bunch of extra cash from junk lying around the house.
You can also buy stuff real cheap off eBay then turn around and make a profit from it. For instance, I bought a zoom lens for $10 & resold it for $75.
If you're in Canada, you can get an 8% discount on postage costs as well with a thing called 'VentureOne'.

I don't know anything about online...But I wouldn't count on a job until your at least 16...I worked at my dad's sawmill since i was 13 every summer, and started out at a whopping $1 an hour, which blows by the way. But i made 25 a week and thought that was awesome, i finally worked my way up to six an hour. I am fixin to apply for a job during the school year because I want to buy my dream car, a 79 trans am and restore it (cuz there's no way i could afford one in mint condition), but mowing yards is a great way to make quick money, i have a friend that made over $1500 one summer just mowing yards, it makes good money.

About a week or two ago I was working with a temp who was also a life guard. He said it was the most boring job ever and often the life guards where he worked would "scan the pool" by moving their heads in the shape of letters or roman numerals. And here I thought I was bored at work in front of my computer. At least I get music there.

It's better to do that outside a movie theater than in a walmart lot. You won't have as many cars to leech from, but odds are nobody will be coming out for an hour or two once the film starts.

Movie theaters are also, for that reason, the best place to steal cars.

You guys ever see Bumfights? Or maybe it was Bumfights 2; where they followed that guy doing smash and grabs like crazy in a parking lot. It seems to me like it was either Movie Theatre or Casino parking lots. I also seem to remember the bum finding a guitar in a trunk...

I grew up about a mile from a golf course, and when I was in my pre-teen, early teen years, I would walk up and down the road and find golfballs that the golfers hit out next to the road and never found or didn't bother getting. I would collect around 100 golf balls a week, and sell them back to the golfers for 50 cents each or $5 a dozen. I thought I was gonna be rich making about $50 a week back then.....

But seriously, doing the grass cutting thing is your best option. But then again, if I were you, I'd enjoy not having to work as long as you can. Once you hit the job scene, your in it the rest of your life.....enjoy the next 2 years before getting a job, just my opinion....

Be careful these days tho. There's a lot of weirdos out there.

im tellin you man it is verrry monotonous. we all have like 8 hour days with 30 min on, 15 off, repeat. geez. haha but me n my friends basically are the life of the pool, blastin the music over the speakers. hahah every time bohemian rhapsody comes on we go into the most beautiful sincopated quartet you'd ever heard. hahahha thats about the only fun part.
