I was thinking the same thing. Nothing beats a Marshall...even a solid state one. I had one a couple years back but something weird happened to it. Still it was the best amp I ever had.

It really depends on what you want to spend. What you consider reasonable might not be what others consider reasonable. HAHA

I've got one of the Vox AD 50VT. It is brilliant.
I haven't got a bad sound out of it yet and their a good price. well worth a try at least before you part with any money.

I have the Vox AD 30VT, fantastic modeling amp, with cool effects. 239.00 new from Musicians Friend. Death Metal to Jazz and everything in between is possible. Clean sounds dont touch my Fender Vibrolux but, thats over a grand so.......

If your looking for a great amp that is around the $100 range I would reccomend the Fender Frontman g or r(reverb) .... This friggin amp is amazing ! For 15 watts its the best amp Ive ever heard !!! I just bought one for 80 bucks and it makes my walls shake like a half stack!!!! Its very durable and it sounds good cranked at 10 although thats just too loud for a practice amp ....Im glad I bought it and I might even buy another one and stack it on top!!!! Go try one at your local music store !!!
