Actually it was probably right before the first time I ever got laid... :D Either way, I still don't remember when that was..... Too many beers since then to be able to remember.

Well, the amp came safely. I've been playing it most of the afternoon, and am really diggin' it! A lot of people complain about the clean channel, but I love it! and the distortion is about 90-95% of what I've been looking for in an amp without using any pedals! The reverb isn't great, but I was expecting that, and it's usable. It's got a little fuzzyness on the top end, but I'm sure that will clear up some once I'm able to really crank it. Different tubes might help too. BTW, I just thought my Classic 50 was loud.... this thing is rediculously loud... he he :D

Anyway... After the honeymoon is over I'll try to get a full review up. But for now, I'm in tone heavan (at least for this week  )

damn GAS!!! btw, I seriously was trying to think of a cure for GAS. and came to the conclusion that it is possible to cure GAS... however, there is only one way... and it is to "own every single possible guitar/amp/effects pedal/everthing ever made"
even then, I'm afraid, that may not work, because the more you buy, the worse GAS becomes... so, my other theory would be to:
take a cheap, off-brand guitar, spending no more then $125 on it. and find the worst amp that you can, and get like $5 cable... and play with only that guitar and amp for the next 6 months... trying to get as much tone as you can... then when you come back to your good stuff, you'll be amazed and fall in love with it all over again and have a newfound respect for tone... and should make you plenty satisfied with what you've got, because you know it could be worse!

I made a little sound clip this evening with the amp if anybody cares to hear it. It's fairly slopy, and I'm not that great at mic'ing an amp, but it'll give you an idea. It is dry as can be, i.e. no post eq'ing or effects.

Clip can be found on my Soundclick page >here< and it's called "5150test1" (obviously).
