sorry,my mistake, i guess the amp does have distortion but i was expecting more gain like the distortion on a newer transistor amp.I turned the volume up an used my sd1 as a booster like a tubescreamer and it sounds pretty good.the only thing is the sd1 sounds like crap when used with my little transistor amp which i use for headphones.
