either way, i dont care how its fixed, i just want it fixed. also, before i forget and cause confusion, i just put new strings on. i know theyre on right, and i was stupid not to ask or go online for directions to replace your guitar string, since i had no clue how to do that and i did it the right way after doing everything else i could have possible done, including removing the scratch plate, but i did look at a page after googling my problem and i put them on right, but there was no answer to my problem.

sound doesnt sustain, high notes break and all notes scratch the bridge. i know there is a name for this problem, but i dont remember it and it can be solved easily but i dont remember that either. it was something like raising the little bar at the top of the neck or some way of raising the strings.
