is it possible to get a set in whammy bar on a guitar that has a not set in whammy bar by just changing the bar?

I'm trying really hard to understand that question but I don't think I can. Is it possible for you to rephrase that so I might understand better? Thanks.

I believe he said, "is it possible to put a set in whammy bar on a guitar that does not have a set in whammy bar, by changing just the whammy bar" now, I still have no clue what that means, as I've never heard of "set in" and "not set in" whammy bars.

Mine does the same thing but it doesn't really bother me. If you buy another one it will probably do the same thing. I think that's just the way it is.

ive played guitars where it doesnt move and you can move out of the way and it stays and stuff and its so much easier

I can tighten mine so that it doesn't move too much but after a few times of swinging it out of the way and back again it becomes loose again.

I have a Jackson DKMG and the whammy bar has a nut you tughten down when you screw it on. It is a Floyd Rose type trem. I noticed Fender type trem is different.

I think all you have to do is just spin it clockwise until it's tight, like a screw. I'm not sure on that though (I really have to get a bar for the trem on my ibanez!)

If you really want something to stay put you can always use epoxy glue. The stuff sticks with something like 3 tons of force per square inch.

Also try some teflon tape, the white stuff.
