My first solo was the first half of Stairway to Heaven. I could never get past the part with the lick thats repeated really fast because I couldn't keep it clean and in beat so I moved on to something else.

No, the one earlier than that. He repeats it like 10 times. The one where you have to bend the 15th fret on B string up a full step than down everytime.

Mine was an improvisation for (Wild Thing). A buddy of mine played the bass line on a vintage Telecaster and his brother was on drums. We played that same chord progression for hours and the notes I used for the solo seemed to fit so perfectly. It was a long time ago in a Gargage far far away! :D Im sure if I heard the tape we recorded then, today I would prolly laugh or "puke" but back then it seemed so very fun and awsome! Was like I didnt even have to think to play it..the notes just came out so fluidly and natural. And all the other kids in the neighborhood thought that I was "Jimmy"
Im a small town White Boy just trying to makes ends meat!
