Dude, you keep doing something like that everytime you see suffering, you're gonna become one hell of a broke dude presto.
Now, let's indulge the negative energy/bad karma side of me:
Why are people so quick to help victims of something in the news, whereas there's people needing help around them ALL THE TIME and no one does ****? Example, a few months, a new born baby was thrown away, and it was found by a dog, that saved it, carried it thro' quite a few hazards (barbed wire, forest, a very busy highway in Nairobi) amongst others and the baby was safe. it was on TV, and in the papers the next day. it was named Angel. Boy, was there a floodgate of offers for food, clothes, apy for medical, even adoption. All the nurses at the hospital, women's groups activists, I think the Minister fro Health (who happens to be a lady), were all over it, cuddling it and all that ****. Now, do you have any idea how many homeless, hopeless children there are in Kenya? How come no one is asking to adopt those? If you ask me, it's just getting carried away coz it's on the news.
Right about now, do you have any idea how many people around the world have been rendered homeless fro one reason or another? Natural calamities, war, a whole lotta bad ****. But no one is bothered with those. But when some event happens and it's on the news, the floodgates of assistance open.
But hey, those who help people are better. Coz when you help, the one in a million person who receives your assistance appreciates. You've made a difference, no matter how small, it's a difference nonetheless. Better that than those like me who don't help anyone and instead hate on those who do something.
See, I have good karma as well.
