Hey. I havent successfully been able to tune my guitar down to Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb without a tuner. Can somebody tell me how to tune to this without a tuner?

Thanks

I used to use my Slayer cd's cuz they always tune that way. Stevie Ray used to tune that way too...so just find some song you know is in that key and tune your open strings to it, then tune the rest.

Yeah that was a good idea. It always sucks getting it back to standard e cuz it likes to go flat about 50 times. Thanks.

Are you tuning down from a standard eadgbe tuning?

I'm assuming you know the simple way, fret-lowE-5th for A, fret-A-5th for D etc .... well, just drop back a fret when you do it .... when I'm doing it that way I'll start de-tuning the A string first, down to the high E string, then i'll play low/high E strings simultaneously and de-tune the low E until they sound right.

You can then check the tuning of lowE more closely by fretting back at the 5th fret again, you should get a note matching the G# (can't do the flat sign on here :D) of what's normally A.

(sorry if the wording doesn't make sense)

If you alter your tuning from the norm, the bridge will have to be re - adjusted for the new tuning.( string length adjustment )
A plug -in Chromatic Electronic tuner is the only way I know
