with your picking hand (the side with your pinky finger to be exact) rest right where the strings meet the bridge. The angle of your palm respective to the strings should be something like 45 degrees. Moving the hand away from the bridge closer to your fingering hand with mute it more. Pulling away from your fingering hand will lessen the palm muting effect.
