Im not looking into really expensive guitars but want one with a metal tone.
Anyway, I found this one online and it looks great. Also, I can try it at my music store cause they got one there but it's over priced. So, tell me what you think.

I have never played that ibanez. but I own one, and even though mine is a cheap starter guitar, it has a nice feel to it. however, in the sound department, it's pretty crappy, and the pickups buzz alot more then my new gibson's. but I have never played a higher end ibanez. but, I can say that I play hard rock/metal and I do not like the single/single/hum setup. get one with either two humbuckers or two humbuckers and a single coil. then, you may need to replace the pickups. and then it'll be both great feeling and great sounding. (i think, again, I have never played a higher end ibanez, only my $150 one that I got as my first guitar)

I think you should try before you buy, and i agree with what the last guy said, humbuckers are better. I've had 2 ibanez guitars; 1 cheap $150 giutar with S-S-H pickups, and the one i have now is a $600 ($400 on sale) guitar with H-S-H setup w/jumbo frets. Check out the Ibanez RG-series, they're in the same pricerange as the AT-200 you're thinking of buying. I like the colour of that guitar though. You should go to the Ibanez website, and try to find the guitar you like the most, and then try to find it in stores.

Thanks for the advice. Thing is, I have a tanglewood (from UK) les paul style with two duncan humbuckers and I can't get a great metal sound from it.
It may be my amp, I only have a marshall mg15cdr bedroom amp.
Anyway, I found that the les paul sounded better than my strat with two sigle coils. But will it sound better with two hums and a single?

Have you thought about used? Only asking 'cos I'm in the UK too, and managed to get a JS1000 for £450, and it's a pro quality guitar - check out my review on this site if you're interested.

Also, if you've got a guitar that just doesn't have the tone you want, you might be better off getting a decent distortion pedal - a Boss 'Metal Zone' is a bit extreme, but it's definitely Metal!!!

I am interested and would gladly pay £450 for one but I can't get one anywhere used. The town I live in has one music shop and thats it.
Also, they don't sell used gear. So, unless you know anywhere, I haven't got a chance of getting one. Thanks for the tips.

This is definitely an issue.

Amps like that really aren't designed to sound great; just to be inexpensive, portable and quiet enough to allow one to practice in close proximity to other people without getting the police called on you.
