T'was an alright day; went for a hike, went out for lunch, went to Science World, and topped the day off with dinner at my mom's. Oh ya...and I got a MANDOLIN! Expect some recordings soon featuring that once I wrap my arms around the instrument.

I never understood what a mandolin was... I mean, I've seen them, but never heard one... what type of music are they used in primarily? or maybe you could just post some clips of it..

[font=trebuchet ms]Sure you've heard one - you just didn't know what it was. The high-pitched stringed instrument you hear on Led Zeppelin's "Battle Of Evermore" is a mandolin. They usually have either four or eight strings, something like 6 or 12-string guitars.[/font]

They also use it frequently in Italian music.
