Hi Peter,

Try http://www.bigroadblues.com I've only just found it myself and have yet to check it all out, but the guys on the forum all seem to know what they're talking about.

I've started to muck around a bit with slide at the moment. I'll be changing the strings on my acoustic from 11-50 to something like 13-56s and my slide from copper to ceramic.

See you there,
Shane

I use a glass slide; it sounds "warmer" to me than metal (chrome, copper etc). I play some slide, but use standard tuning mostly (only have 1 electric and there's no time to retune when rehearsing or gigging). Open tunings I've tried are E and G. They squash the box pattern notes closer together so the slide doesn't need to travel as far to cover the scales.

Here's some more sites to check out.

I use a deep socket metric socket bit for a slide. As for tunings, standard on my bass, open d for guitar.
