need some help to learn some flashy strumming methods...

hey guys ...i've started playing the acoustic guitar 2months+ ago and now im sick of strumming the acoustic guitar by upstoke and downstroke.i'd try to strum it with different kind of patterns but just couldnt get the kind of flashy and styled struming methods which i saw some ppl playing it. i want to learn some new ways of strumming like those....i know playing the guitar is like "have to feel the music" and not get tense up. My teacher told me to wack it out only ..but when i compare myself to him...woah...im so ****. The sound seems not so great and interesting and attracting enough although i got the rythm correctly. Sadly ...my teacher does not want to teach me of his style...he just gave me some tips by strumming it with different patterns and palm muting.It's because he sees me as a very bright student and a fast learner.im learning Blues nowadays but i still want to improve my strummming So guys ...i really need some help here.i practice it everyday about 2hours and im so in love with guitars. i'll appreciate all the information of yours! thx ya ! :D
