Friend of mine is big into hardcore... he's not a big fan of solos and seems to like hardcore because it has so little (if any at all) solos... I personally find that boring and unexploring and the constant breakdowns I find sound the same after a while, but hell, he likes it and there's a notable fan base involved so here's to.
But enough of my opinions. Here's my thoughts on your question. Let the song go where it goes. If the song is apt to go into a chorus as the best result then by all means, but don't force something into a structure if it calls for something out of structure. I often find structures like that to be boring and predictable (sorry, more opinions) so I say take a moment and think "where should this song go next?" Not all songs are made to have such a structure where others are better for that structure. Maybe the breakdown should be the intro, hell, maybe more than one breakdown? Just whatever feels best to come next.
I didn't proof read this because I'm lazy so if I lost you that's probably why and I'm sorry.
