Wow... either you bend way too hard... your strings suck... you're tuned an octave high (hopefully you would know if you were)... or your bridge is the most jagged bridge ever. Anyway... what he was asking by "where is it breaking?"... he wanted to know whether it was breaking at the bridge, the nut, somewhere in the middle, or at the tuners. This way you can see where the problem lies. Obviously if the string is breaking when you're bending at the 12th fret it's probably breaking at the bridge. When you tune your guitar check the tension... if you can easily bend the string... it's where it needs to be. But if it's hard to bend the string then you're an octave too high and you need to detune it. Also, if you find your strings still breaking at the bridge get some electircal wire (smaller gauge wire) and strip off a piece of insulation about a 1/4 inch in length. Slide that onto the string and position it to where it acts as a cusion between the contact point of the bridge and the string. This will lessen the amount of pin-point tension. SRV's guitar tech use to do this on his strings.
