Personally, I think Dimarzio's have the bases covered as far as tone goes. And as far as feedback goes... if you have high output pickups like the X2Ns' with gobs of distortion then you might have some trouble with feedback. Go more for tone than output when it comes to choosing pickups.

I have used both.

I had Dimarzio supers in my bich and they screamed. I just hated the guitars feel.

I just put in a Seymour Ducan screamin Demon into my KV3 Jackson and I love it. It does it all. Screams moans glassy clears subtle overdrive I can wire it for single coil use also but havn't done it yet but I am going to as soon as I can afford to get it done.

Both are great pick-ups but the pros use Seymours more often

I know a lot of people in the hard rock/metal category use Seymore Duncan's. I wouldn't call 99% of those people "pros'", though. A short list of the people who use/endorse Dimarzios': Al Di Meola, Ace Frehley, Frank Gambale, Paul Gilbert, Eric Johnson, Steve Morse, John Petrucci, Dweezil Zappa, Steve Vai, Alex Skolnick, Joe Satriani, Billy Sheehan, etc... those being the most famous "pros'".

Like I said I like both brands. If I was endorsed by either one I would accept it. So do the mentioned stars.
If someone is willing to creat a transducer of my exact specifications I would gladly jump at the chance.
