alot of electric players who then play acoustic, tend to sound a bit crap. The picking is so weak! I dont think anchoring is a good idea, especially on acoustic! you cant get the same dynamics and control if you anchor. Then again i wouldnt advise anyone to change anything about their technique unless they know exactly how to do it
