I don't want to necessarily read sheet music, but rather know how to write music. The main problem right now is, if I were to write some chord progression that I like, a) I don't know what key the song is in and b) I don't know how to write a solo over that progression. I'd also really like to know how to have a jam and actually know what to play rather than doing it by ear. I just don't know any of the techincal aspects of playing guitar, everything I do is just by ear and what "sounds" right.
