I am also a beginner (nearly two years) but I can tell you.
To make your own solo, find out the key the rythym is. EG. C major etc.
If you don't that, there are some lessons on this site.
But when you find out get that scale and build your solo from the notes in it.
Just play around with it, I couldn't tell you how they progress and fit together, just mess around with what sound right.
