Keep in mind that the average consumer soundcard takes like 2-3watts for it's inputs. Be sure to feed it a line-level signal using the "line-in" jack. Mic. jack is totally wrong for this. If it's too quiet, increase the line level from your computer, not from the sound source (multi-track, mixer etc.)
