I am thinking of getting a new guitar casue I like playing on jumbo frets and my guitar doesn't have them.

I was wondering if anyone knows a really good guitar that's also pretty inexpensive casue I don't have to much money?

thanks for your time and opinions.

depends on what kind of guitar you're looking for really. I have an Ibanez Rg350 w/ 24 jumbo frets. i bought it for 400$ (not used).

It would depend on why you want Jumbo frets? If you are having trouble hitting or holding down strings there are ways around this, if, however, you want them for other reasons then look towards a classical guitar. Yea, I know, nobody likes classical guitars...wimpy...but, I'll never trade my Ovation classical away. I value it as good as my American Fender and higher than my Epiphone Dot.

Make sure Jumbo frets are really what you want. Try playing on different necks from the "V" of the Fender to the "U" of the Gibson/Epiphone. You might also want to try a lighter strings on your current model.

My two cents, anyway.

Real men play with vintage frets........ haha

I would suggest looking at the Scheter line of guitars. I believe they mostly have medium jumbos. OR you can go to a guitar shop and have your guitar re-fretted with medium jumbos... which would be the most cost effective way to go. A fret job would cost anywhere from 100-175 dollars. But check out the Schecters and a good Mexican strat would even be able to hold you over... I would look at the Mexican Floyd Rose Fat Strat.... probably the most versatile Strat configuration ever... possibly the most versatile GUITAR configuration aside from the Line 6 Variax.... check it out

If you want that fender &*^% style i can't help u. but if you look away to an Ibanez or an Esp take your time cuz u don't want to be unhappy later on. Even Yamaha has cheap yet preety so so style.

.................. Hm...... You probably just learned how to play guitar and think that becuase Steve Vai and Joe Satriani play Ibanez that means they're the nicest guitars ever... they are nice, but not necessarily to everyones preference... You probably think that since a ton of metal bands use ESP guitars they're the best metal guitars too... they are nice metal guitars... but that's all I would use their tone for..... You may not like the way a Fender plays... or a Gibson... but they are the most versatile and universal guitars ever made... So if you have an opinion its good to speak it in a manner that will get your point accross but won't negate someone elses... Unless you can give your ideas on my you dislike Fender in an intelligent way... I would say that you have no idea what they feel like or truely sound like...
