What is double tapping?
# 1
Or it could refer to tapping two strings with the right hand to get a harmony.
# 2
I think its tapping with the right and left hand at the same time like Joe Satriani's song Midnight...

I agree because -
1) Schmange knows a considerable amount about guitars and playing them
2) I've actually also seen websites where this guy uses double tapping to do piano arrangements - he'd get the bass part going by tapping with the left hand at the bottom of the neck on the low strings, then tap chords with his right hand on multiple strings... (*sick*)
There are only two important things in life - There's music and theres girls, not necessarily in that order....

I agree with CW14 on this one - double tapping as I know it is very quickly tapping the (picking hand) note before starting the rest of the sequence.
The technique Satch uses on 'Midnight' is what I've always known as two-handed tapping.
