After changing the string..It stays High

Hey Everyone....Just one question I know how to change the Strings of Electric guitar but the problem is after changing the strings and tuning the guitar strings kinda stays high from the frats...and the bridge kinda stays up from the body..it doesn't stick to the body....I don't know what i'm doing wrong, and I hope described it properly that whats happening.
when I got strings changed from my friend of the same guitar..it didn't happen....Anyone any idea???...

I think you need to alter the tension on the springs that keep the bridge down. They are normally in a cavity under a plastic plate on the back of your axe.
