Ok, I got a new guitar today. It's an ESP LTD EC-50. When i got home, I plugged it in and noticed that it was making a really loud annoying buzzing sound. The noise stops when I touch the volume or tone knobs on it. Sometimes it makes the noise, then 5 minutes later it will be fine. What should I do?

When a guitar buzzes and it stops when you touch the metal on the guitar, that's a sign that there's a short somewhere. Check your cables, and if they are all good, take the guitar back to where ever you bought it and have them check it out for you.

This is assuming the volume and tone knobs are metal. Try touching another metal part of the guitar like the bridge. If the buzz goes away, it's most likely a short....
Check out my band:
