I started out with an electric and my amp didn't even work all the time. So I had to listen to my guitar without any amplification and it sounded crappy. You could imagine how my fingers must of felt as a beginner on steel strings. I tried to push down and strum harder to get a better noise but my fingers ended up paying the price! :(
