Play guitar long enough and you're bound to hit a rut. We've all been there bro, it's just part of the territory. What worked for me last time I was in one was to focus in on a technique I always wanted to learn and see what developed from there. In my case, I tried sweep picking. I'm still not the best at it, but find I can bust out three and four string sweeps pretty cleanly now. Also try downloading a few backing tracks and just do some improvising to keep things fun.
