what would i need to do with my POD (2.0) and amp to get that sound? Also maybe the old Metallica sound. And i cant Download anything now into my POD no cable. Thanks
Dunno about Megadeth, but you can get a decent Mettalica type sound by selecting the 'tremoverb' amp model (I think that's what it's called - haven't got it in front of me - next to 'Modern Hi-Gain anyway).
I add a bit of delay or chorus to fill the sound out. Scoop the mids to make it sound authentic....

For the old Metallica sound Hammett and Hettfield used Marshall JCM heads... So find a decent tube amp modeler on there and then add some overdrive and a touch of delay. Tweak the settings around a bit and you should be able to find it in that range of parameters.

For Kill em All it seems as if they seem to have just cranked everything up. For Ride The Lightning I found that this setting works well. bass=10 mid=4 treble=7 presence=10. For Master of Puppets just scoop the mids and add a little more treble it you want. I never really liked the tone of And Justice For All. It sounds wierd. They multi-tracked everything. You'll just have to play with your EQ and come up with something. Some songs appear to have the mids like some of Hammett's solo's and some have the mids scooped out.
