OK I started playing 2 years ago at age 39 and I really struggle with something's like everything. Barre chords are a pain (but that is the nature of them) and I have a hard time with basic rhythm structure. Any ideas?

I am not really understanding what you mean, however i will suggest that you should probably get an instructor and practice, practice, practice. That never ever gets old just stick with it. What exactly are you having problems with because "everything" is an extremely vague term.

I'll beat someone to the punch and tell ya to practice with a metronome to develop your sense of timing. There's no substitute for practice, there's just no other way around it.
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

when I said everything I didn't really mean it. I guess I am more frustrated than anything. By this time I wanted to be Joe Perry or something and I am just a little impatient. I know practice is the thing. But I just need to know that it does get easier. I know practice practice practice practice and then more practice.
