Okay, my guitar teacher gave me this thing to complete over the weekend. Well, i was busy and i have forgotten how to complete this!! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Here is what he wrote:

W = Whole step 1/2= half step
--W----W--1/2-W----W----W--1/2
C----D-----EF-----G-----A------BC
E----F-----?-------B-----?------D
G----?-----B-------D-----E------?

You guessed it, i have to fill in the ?'s. The only problem is, i dont know what to write! I spent about an hour trying to figure it out. But i have absolutely no idea. To anyone who can figure this out. Thankyou SO much!

*EDIT i had to put -'s in between cuz it didnt turn out right before.

I figure this is asking you to list the notes in a major scale, the intervals of which are whole whole half, whole whole whole half tones as you say. Thing is that the notes in the grid you show don't add up. First one is OK but the lines with the '?' aren't right I don't think...

The tones you have are A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G#, and they have a half step between them, so just follow the above around in a circle from the note you want to figure out the scale for - see what I mean?

E.G. If the second line is asking for a list of notes in an E major scale, then following the W-W-H-W-W-W-H formula you'd get - E F# G# A B C# D# E. If I've misunderstood I apologise - post more details and I'll see if I can point you in the right direction...
