I have a three pickup (Steel) HOFNER model Solid Body Electric Guitar manufactured in 1967 ! Still going strong. Very strong.I don't know how many of the young generation have heard The Ventures/The Shadows, but my Guitar produces the exact tone of these rock groups (of the 60-70 generation). I use a YAMAHA Pyramid amplifier (Solid State) and the amp too is of 1969 and going as strong.
I have tried the newer guitars but feel my HOFNER is still the best. (Probably since I am using it so long). Of course, I also have other semi-solid body guitars that I use for shows along with my HOFNER. I also play the Harmonica professionally.
