you may want to pick up a book on guitar electronics from Stewart-MacDonald (www.stewmac.com).

you also may want to think about dropping a concentric pot switch in; you could do it a variety of ways.

actually i had a class on electronics when i was out in school for recording...it's just more that i don't know the schematics to my pickups and i'm not sure which wires i'll need to put where...but it should work. i hope.
