I have a PODxt bean as well (which is identicle to the XT live), and to me, the POD 2.0 sounds much better for live use than the XT, but the XT sounds better for direct recording. With the POD 2.0, I can have a few tones in my head and set up 4 patches within 15-20 min. Whereas, it will probalby take me 45min. just to set up one patch with the XT . But, when recording, it is defanately worth it.

For live use, I use the 4-button FB4(?) to change patches, and have a volume - wah - overdrive - chorus - delay in front of it just like a real amp.

I defanately suggest playing both through your amp before deciding on one, if you can. As alway's, what works for me, might not work for you
