Since you're a "poor fool" much like me... I suggest doing what I did. I saved the few extra bucks and bought a GNX2 (back when they were brand new). I still use it all the time even though my list of gear keeps growing each month. It's a great tool when you need to dial in a certain tone, plus you can download tones straight from the DigiTech website. When I analyzed the cost of a wah, distortion, overdrive, flanger, chorus, and delay pedal (all at about 90 bucks a pop... it came out to be around 500 dollars. So I picked up a GNX for 300. You also get a ton more bells and whistles with it (amp models, cab models, noise gate, midi in/out... and more) When you're a poor fool, bang-for-the-buck is critical... and for you I think it would be beneficial for you to check them out.
