I need help with Tool's song 46 & 2

Hey guys whats up? nadda lotta here, i was juss wonderin if any 1 could help me with the beginning of 46 & 2 written by tool, does any 1 know the effects settings that the guitar uses on the beginning of the song to give it that really neat effect?

I think he's just palm muting the strings, the other part is a beautifull bassplay, after the palm muted thing I think he's using a lil' chorus :)

The intro is actually a bass with some chorus. When the guitar comes in (the clean palm muted part), it sounds like it has a little chorus on it as well. I'm at work, so I can't listen to it right now, but IIRC it sounds like the guitar part is ever so slightly overdriven. Maybe starting with an overdriven tone, and using the guitar's volume pot to clean it up a bit.
