Well, I'm on a real tight budget and for the last months I've been scavenging for a good beginners guitar that won't come to ****ing pieces in two months use. I've been looking at epiphone specials, both les paul and SG, bc rich bronze warlocks and the most recent wich made me raise a brow the washburn x25w. I like metal and hard rock so I'd like that sort of tone or just a good tone overall, the bronze warlocks apparently go dead on the first months since they make it less durable nowadays and most of the reviews i've seen on SG's and special les paul are good but I dunno, I'm liking that washburn x25w....any feedback greatly appreciated, thx.

I would recommend getting a used guitar for your first instrument. The initial depreciation has already been absorbed by previous owner(s) so you can usually recover a good chunk of your outlay if you decide that guitar is not for you.

Don't get sucked in to buying anything just because your favourite hero happens to use a particular guitar or amp. You will eventually discover that most of a player's 'sound' originates in the hands, not in the hardware.

Pick through the offerings of as many used gear bins and racks as you can find. Something will 'speak to you', and then you will be on your way.

Making music is an intensely personal thing. Take the time to find your own voice.

keep it quiet that my first guitar was a Stagg Stratocaster, but the neck played even better then the guitar I got now, and only for something like 100euros!

yeah...go for a used major brand. You'll appreciate the extra value and the fact that the neck is broken in.

I must agree with evryone else, a usedd guitar is probably the best option around. But, if you are absolutely set on one of the guitars you mentioned, I would go with the Washburn...Epiphone specials are all bad, as are BC Rich Bronze series...is that the Washburn with the flamed maple top? I think it is...the wi24 is much the same with a thicker body and solid finnish in black or grey...I would go for the wi25...but only if you are not willing to look into second hand gear.

thx a lot for all the inputs guys. I don't really care for what me guitar heroes use, I would of gotten a bc rich a long time ago, I just what something with a good hard tone and that will actually last me for more than a freaking year.
