Yeah, chicks dont associate guitars with making them less attractive or "manly". Just some, dont have interests in playing instruments, and some have yet to come under its spell yet. But ya know, I do take a ton of crap about "oh you can't play, your a poser" because im a chick and i happen to be dragging around my gig bag. I can not stand that, i just wanna sock the little punks who have that stereotype in there heads, they dare to come up to me, and waste MY time by assuming because i am a girl that i can not compete with a guy as a guitarist. When i know i can play better then most of the guys who come up to me.

I have to say in the music industry, especially rock guitarists role , is very sexist, its rele sad, there is no room for a girl to even dream about being able to compare to Joe Satriani or any one of the sort. But i guess i havent seen alotta rele awesome chick guitar players. I tend to think the challenge is too much for some to take on for a period of time, because of the fact that hormones control most teenage girls, so they never develop as guitarists.
