Yea Pony, your points on the whole stereotypical guitarist is right. throughout the past few centuries, men have taken a role as luthier or builder of instruments(guitars and earlier lutes etc) whilst women have been more prominent players(perhaps not more so than men,but more so that now for sure). and I get what you are saying about "cuteness" in it...but some heavy riffs that are absolutely awesome were written by women...take "Brakish" by Kitty for an example...
on the whole parents thinking a song is cute issue...you guys think Trent Reznors folks were proud of him when he first played "Closer" to them?
