[font=trebuchet ms]There are a lot of female guitar players. Use the search tab in the toolbar at the top of the page to find several threads on that very topic.

But the sad, frustrating fact remains - a very small percentage of guitar players are women! And no, I don't understand that. I've had the priveledge of knowing some amazing female musicians, but precious few of them want anything to do with guitar.
