micheal romeo is much grater than malmsteen

Ok...? I had a big ass paragraph ready to go on everything I thought was wrong with what you just said, but for crap's sake be a little more discrete when you bash on peoples' inspiration. You've been here for 4 posts and Yngwie's name is on the front page as a section of lessons by artist/inspiration where as Romero isn't. And with that, I remain neutral on the "who's better" debate as I'm not fluent in Romero's style so I don't know enough to say who is better. And regarding your problem you'd have to be a tad more specific. What're you trying to do, what's happening?

First of all... I'm not a fan of Malmsteen... I do respect him as a guitarist because he IS amazing... It's just not to my taste. Second off... I don't know this other guy, I'm sure he's a great guitarist as well... Third thing is... I understand that people on this site may not have English as their native language... and I give props to anyone who can communicate in a language other their native language...... but your post had to be the most illiterately written post of all time.... I appologize if you're trying to communicate in a different language... I can't imagine what it would be like... but if you do speak English... you should be ashamed.

I think we should all shut up now because its all a matter of opinion. I hate seeing threads like this one or "who's the best guitarist" threads. It's all in what you like. Yngwie and Romeo are both awesome guitarists.

I agree with all of the above, Malmsteen is an amazing player. However, I don't like his music, for me it lacks emotional input but there is no doubt the guy is a true virtuoso and has been a huge influence on other great players such as Romeo. I personally prefer Romeo, his technique is unbelievable and his music (solo album) is so much more listenable.
I don't like wither of their band efforts because of the horrible big hair with tight leather pants singing. Both amazing players, there is no "best" guitarist in world.

Is Romeo the guy from Symphony X, he's NOT orginial and he sounds like Petrucci to me.

BTW, Romeo's BIGGEST idol was Malmsteen, dont know belive me, check out the Symphony X website.

He doesn't sound one bit like Petrucci, what songs have you been listening to?

i like romeo better than malmsteen but u can hear malmsteen stuff in most symphony x songs. I think romeo is a malmsteen fan. I respect mamlsteen too. his a great guitarist

This thread's still around? I figured some moderator would've just closed it by now. I recently checked out the phenomenon that is Romeo and every so often you hear a lick that sounds like it might be influenced, but really, he's got his own style. I like his sweeping.
