Weird sound coming out of my high e-snare

so.. I got this guitar, a Ibanez RG370dx and it's pretty nice compared to it's price, though I didn't notice it in the beginning, but my high e gives an awfull ringing sound then I play with distortion, what could be the problem?

for example when I play the first solo from 'One', each time I play the 1st snare high up the fretboard and I keep a tone, it sounds almost out of tune, really horrible :( I checked it, but it was perfectly tuned, so I'm all out of ideas now, I appreciate any help in this

thnx :) I'm gonna replace the string first, because when I pick it I can see that the vibrate is wrong, as I can remember from physics, got the guitar about a year now so I wonder why I didn't notice it sooner :confused:
