How much should i ask for a strato?
I'm planning to sell my fender stratocaster guitar (made in USA) to a friend, I just don't know what would be a reasonable price to put on the instrument. The guitar's around 5 years old, black and white and in excellent conditions. Any ideas??

[font=trebuchet ms]It's been my experience that something is only worth what someone else will pay you for it. That amount is often less than you think it's worth. :(

Both of those guys have good points...esp. Dr Simon.
check out some second hand prices in shops, that'll give you a clue as to how much to charge, take some off that and you have a realistic figure, take a bit more off if you like your friend lots...

As a ball park Id say 5-600.
I bought an "I series" second hand USA made Fender Strat in 2002 for about 600 in Des Moins. It is a really nice axe !!
